“very good food and service”
A quaint place with consistent good food. If one wants to venture out of old town, this is a good, solid place to bring friends. Good value and personal service. Have been for breakfast and lunch. Will return and recommend.
“Best Breakfast Spot!”
We read all the rave reviews about Layla's, and made it a point to stop in while in PV. We had breakfast one morning on our trip and it was delicious. We were sat at a picturesque table on the upstairs balcony, and that only added to our wonderful experience! The service was great-- very attentive. I had the Chilaquiles Verde for breakfast, and practically licked my plate clean! My husband had the hot cakes and the home fries and he begged all week to go back and eat there again. We tried to stop in for breakfast on a Friday, and they were closed on Fridays! We were so disappointed. But go here any other day of the week, and you won't regret it!.
“Unique and Awesome”
Everything we tried most every appetizer and found them all very good. My brother has food allergies and Chef Mario came to our table to be sure the food would be safe for him to eat!!! Very wonderful staff to match the food. A must visit place for breakfast try the Laylas French Toast and dinner Devils Shrimp or Oso Busco .
“Gourmet food but economical”
Had like 3-4 floors, we sat all the way up on the terrace. Very nice night.
Quick and very professional waiter (forgot his name) we were greeted by the owner, nice guy.
I had the Lime trout (pictured) doesn't look like much but taste delicious, my wife got the arrachera tacos (pictured) and were second to none, for appetizers we got the fried clam (pictured and absolutely amazing!) and the fried calamari (pictured were very good), my son had the shrimp quesadillas and were excellent, my daughter had the shrimp on a tamarindo sauce (pictured) and were also really good.
I had the Diablo margarita (pictured) and was definitely very hot.
The pear tart was amazing (pictured too).
The price was very good since it seemed that we were eating something very expensive.
Will definitely come back
“Fantastic, authentic food!”
This restaurant in Puerto Vallarta is awesome. if you're looking for "home made-type" Mexican food, come to Lalays... You won't be disappointed.
“wonderful meal in a new restaurant for us”
Did not know of Layla's before we went there. It is on a side street, Venezuela, but we enjoyed our food experience immensely. We were seated in the upper area of the restaurant. It was a very nice environment. Great service. My dish was sea bass on a bed of rice with a very interesting creamy sauce that I believe had asparagus in it. The other dish was bacon wrapped shrimp and it too was tasty and delicious. We will definitely return.
“Great Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp”
We'd heard a lot about this place and finally visited this year while in Puerto Vallarta. We came with three other people, so it was a party of five. My caesar salad was good, and I had a shrimp dish with the shrimp wrapped in bacon and cheese, and it was decadently delicious. The service was good and the price was not bad. There's a great view from the top floor, but plan on climbing lots of stairs. Overall, not a bad evening.
“A perfect meal”
One of the beast under reared restaurants in town. Had recently visited a private establishment at Punta Mita, serviced by a main chef and 4 crew team ( a place frequently visited by Jessica Alba and the main singer Maroon 5) Although we overall experienced was good.... the atmosphere, presentation, food quality and overall experience a Lylas was over above and beyond expectations... A must visit PV secret... You will not be disappointed... Cheers.
